Supergirl has its enjoyable moments, but it ultimately falls short of being a standout superhero film. Milly Alcock delivers a strong and charismatic performance, bringing heart and determination to Kara Zor-El, and she’s easily the movie’s biggest strength.
Unfortunately, the story feels uneven, with rushed pacing, underdeveloped characters, and a forgettable villain that never raises the stakes. While the action is entertaining and there are a few emotional moments, the film never fully reaches its potential.
Overall, Supergirl is a decent addition to the DC Universe, but it’s not particularly memorable. Hopefully, future films will give this version of Supergirl a stronger story to match its talented lead.
