Scary Movie

I went into Scary Movie (2026) hoping to relive some of the magic of the original films, and while it doesn’t quite reach the heights of the classics, I still had a good time. Seeing Anna Faris, Regina Hall, and the Wayans brothers back together brought a huge wave of nostalgia that instantly reminded me why I loved these movies in the first place.

The film throws itself into parodying modern horror movies and internet culture, and while some jokes landed perfectly, others felt a bit forced or outdated. The story itself isn’t anything special, but that’s never really been the point of a Scary Movie film. It’s all about the ridiculous situations, over-the-top humor, and unexpected gags.

My favorite part was the chemistry between the returning cast members. They slipped back into their iconic roles effortlessly, and many of the funniest moments came from their interactions. Not every joke worked for me, but I laughed enough to stay entertained throughout.

Overall, Scary Movie (2026) is a fun, nostalgic return to a franchise I grew up watching. It’s messy, silly, and completely ridiculous—but that’s exactly what I expected. If you’re a fan of the original movies, you’ll probably enjoy the trip down memory lane.
