‘Night Swim’ is the first horror film released in 2024 from Blumhouse and James Wan and is pretty much like every other movie they’ve made but it involves ghosts in a swimming pool. I felt the palpable tension, every time the pool was featured, and the film plays on one’s fear of what possible horrors lurk beneath the surface of a body of water.
The performances were decent, but the best part of this film was the cinematography as it achieves underwater shots of a high visual level and great choreographed underwater scenes.
Worth watching if you’re in the mood for a mindless horror flick.
